- Chikungunya virus, researchers in Singapore have identified a new way of killing this virus
National University of Singapore(NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of medicine's LEad Investigator Dr Chu Jang Hann said that they have identified a method that can kill this virus within three days.
Currently the treatment is only relieving fever and several joint pains
their study shows that a molecular approach could kill the virus completely through an intravenous method, it employs a small hairpin RNA technology (shRNA) designed against two specific CHIKV genes so as to silence the virus replication, which subsequently destroy the virus genes and block their production.
.Singapore last breakout  of this case was between  2008 and 2010, where it had close to 1000 cases.

singApraise to this new discovery and hope it will be available to the public especially to Africa soon
